I grew up misunderstood, although a happy young man, I always had a smile on my face. I never did really fit in with the crowd. Bullied a lot because I was different from the rest, I knew I was gifted.
I never could stay in long term relationships, in a way, I'd sabotage it when it was going great. I'd thrive in it when it wasn't.
This went on for years, troubled by mental health struggles, loosing loved ones, both friends and whanau. I couldn't hold a job down, even though I had potential, earned a good wage. My addictions were getting in the way of my life, and who I wanted to be.
That's the whole point of this movement.
Breaking the inter-generational cycle!
I met the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen in my life! It was love at first sight! We had a connection that was so real and empowering. We both were in dark places at the time, but as soon as our energies combined; 💥 the planets aligned for us, and those dark places were swiftly filled with light.
I did whatever I could to make her happy, to make her stay. I worked hard, not only to keep my demons at bay, but to provide for my family. What a great feeling it was! When I got that phone call at work, I couldn't believe it. I was in awe.
We were engaged and had a baby on the way. And then she left me......
Over two years on, I've finally given up the fight, given into that plight. I'm going into rehabilitation to fix this broken man.
I love my daughter and her mum, no doubt. I've been making loads of music in this time too. These are my most valuable and precious things in my world.
